Tell us about you!
I’m an artist, surface pattern designer, and the founder of Art Barn, a creative studio based in a restored 1892 carriage house in South Orange, NJ.
Before opening Art Barn, I worked in design and innovation and created artwork for brands including West Elm, Crate & Barrel, and Minted.
During the pandemic, I began welcoming small groups of children into the space for art classes, and what started as a pivot quickly grew into a vibrant creative community. Today, Art Barn offers camps, classes, workshops, and events focused on imagination, experimentation, and connection. I’m especially passionate about creating warm, inspiring spaces where people of all ages feel comfortable making art and expressing themselves.

How did you find yourself doing this work?
My background combines art, design, business, and innovation. I studied at Wesleyan University, earned an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and later completed a Master’s in Industrial Design at Pratt Institute. Before starting Art Barn, I worked in marketing and innovation American Express, focusing on customer experience and design strategy. Over time, I realized that the parts of my career I loved most involved creativity, storytelling, visual environments, and helping people connect through design. Although the creation of Art Barn was a pandemic pivot, Art Barn became a natural extension of my interests as it blends art education, community-building, and thoughtfully designed experiences.
