Hi! Tell us about yourself
Your friendly local Doctor of Physical therapy here.
SOMA resident for 6+ years with my wife and three kids. I love being active and sharing my love of movement with others whether it’s out on a hike
in the reservation, playing soccer, family kitchen dance parties, going for a run, skiing, or almost any game I can find. I love helping people overcome challenges with realistic guidance so they can confidently get back to doing all the awesome things they want to do.

Where did you grow up?
I’ve got some Jersey pride. I grew up a little further south in Monmouth County.
How long have you lived in SOMa?
7+ years. Didn’t feel like that long, but boy does the time fly
How long have you been doing the work you do?
I’ve been in the Physical Therapy world for 13 years—and reinventing my approach to align with the latest research and my vision for care since 2019.
How did you find yourself doing this work?
After tearing my ACL playing soccer in college I went through extensive Physical Therapy for my knee and it was my first introduction to the career. I really loved the experience of being in the clinic and the idea of getting to make a positive impact in people’s lives so directly. After working in marketing and advertising for several years I decided I wanted to leverage my expertise in behavior change to help people live healthier and more fulfilling lives.
What excites you the most about what you do?
Someone comes to me with something they struggle with physically like lifting their kids without hurting their back, getting back on track for an upcoming marathon, or returning to a sport they love and I get to help them untangle the puzzle of why they might be having this problem in the first place and provide the tools to get back on track to move more and feel better. I couldn’t be more grateful that I get to help people in this capacity. It’s awesome seeing people make goals and then realize their potential.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Anyone who’s worked with an amazing Physical Therapist knows how life-changing that experience can be. Unfortunately, it’s harder to find than it should be. In the traditional care model, most clinicians simply don’t have the time, space, or resources to deliver the level of care their education and experience prepared them for. It’s not their fault—the system makes it difficult.
After working alongside incredible Physical Therapists in Massachusetts, I saw what truly exceptional, patient-centered care looked like. When I moved back to New Jersey, I was frustrated seeing how care was delivered in high-volume clinics, where productivity metrics and insurance constraints overshadowed what patients truly needed.
I knew there had to be a better way. So I built one. Focused Physio’s model is all about educating and empowering patients so we can have a greater impact in fewer sessions. It’s about working for our patients, not the insurance companies.
Do you have any magic tricks that you use in your business that you swear by and could share with others?
No magic tricks…just an irrepressible desire to help people feel better.
What's your superpower in your business?
Listening. To treat people well, you need to know their full story first, before jumping to conclusions. I prioritize current patients over jamming the schedule so I can truly give each person I work with the attention they deserve.

What's the weirdest thing on your desk right now?
My Anatomy, Neuroanatomy through Clinical Cases, and Therapeutic Exercise textbooks working to prop up my monitor to a good ergonomic level. Gotta practice what I preach!
If your business had a theme song, what would it be and why?
“Sunday Best” by Surfaces.
Give it a listen—its upbeat energy, feel-good groove, and optimistic lyrics line up perfectly with my outlook on life and how I help people move. It’s positive, light, and rooted in the idea that small steps, good energy, and consistency can change everything—that’s the Focused Physio approach.
A quote you live by:
“We can do hard things”
It’s a favorite because it captures the heart of what I try to help people rediscover: their capacity. It’s not about perfection or pretending everything is easy — it’s about recognizing that we are capable of more than we often believe, especially in moments that feel overwhelming.
In my work, I see how powerful it can be when someone shifts from “I can’t” to “Maybe I can.” This simple mantra helps reframe challenges as things we can move through rather than be defeated by. It speaks to realistic optimism — acknowledging the difficulty while affirming the strength we bring to it. It’s a reminder that progress isn’t about avoiding hard things, but learning that we truly can handle them, one small step at a time.
